Early models of the Snomp indicates routines for "friendliness", "comfort", and "thermal annihilation" functionality, suggesting a target market comprised mostly of dictators and oligarchs that deem other humans an unnecessary risk. Why the original designers chose to model it after a serpent is unknown, and probably contributed to this Unit's failure in the global marketplace.

Corp Marketists sold some to church caretakers to replace their aging gargoyles, which found some limited success among the "fire and brimstone" crowd. Snomps are pretty good at taking a beating and testing precision Contractor movement, so they became a natural fit for the Site Testing team. We quickly augmented the initial offering with the double-spitting Beta and triple-headed Gamma models, and I'm not ashamed to note here that I keep a Gamma as a pet. Cerby is my best friend.
